Every information which passes from one bank to another is very confidential & sensitive. There is a need to be hide or monetize that information into a respective segment. If the information will not be encoded then any hacker can hack and take out all the information from the bank and bring all the business to the ground. So, concerning these conditions Reserve Bank of India (RBI) bring an eleven characters code in the presence to overcome such problems. This 11 characters painstakingly designed to monetize and to be unique. This unique code helps us to identify the bank origin and the branch of the bank as it is hard to recognize a particular bank branch in between the millions of bank branches. In India, there are hundreds of active banking industries and these hundreds of banking sector have numerous branches that’s why there was the need to introduce a code which assists us to recognize both bank branches (Pay User’s bank account and Payee bank account).
